Witnesseth that the sd Thomas Winman Roden for & in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Currant mony of Maryland to him in hand paid by the sd James Brooks at or Before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Thomas Winman Roden doth hereby acknowledge himself fully satisfied with & for diverse other good causes & considerations him hereunto moving hath given granted Bargained & Sold, Aliened, Enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these presents doth Clearly and Absolutely give grant, Bargain, Sell, Alien, Enfeoff and Confirm unto the sd James Brooks his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or Parcel of Land Called Long Choice it being in Frederick County on the branches of Paluxonte River beginning at a bounded Black Oak and a Bounded Chestnut Tree Standing on a knowl amongst a parcel of Stones and Running Eighty dg West thirty eight perches then South fifty three dg West twenty Seven pc South Eighty Five pc West thirty eight pc north twenty eight pc North thirty seven dg West twenty perches North Twenty dg East sixty Perches North fifty three East twenty two pc North Eighty dg East Sixty Eight pc North forty five dg East thirty six perches North Eight Four dg East thirty six perches South fifteen degrees East thirty perches then by a strait Line to the Beginning Trees Containing and laid out for fifty acres more or Less Together with Messauges, Tenements dwelling houses Building Barnes stables orchards out Houses Profits Comodities advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to the Same Belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the Same Tracts or Parcel of land and ..[two illegible words].. with the appurtenances unto the same James Brooks his heirs and assigns for Ever and the sd Thomas Winman roden for himself his heirs and Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant Promise and agree to ..[an indecipherable symbol of some sort here].. with the said James Brooks his heirs Executors and Administrators and Every of them by these Presents that he ye sd Thomas Winman Roden at the time of the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents is Seized his ..[? demeagns ?].. as of feeof and in the before Bargained Promised with the appurtenances of a good sure and Indefeizable Estate of Inheritance In Fee simple free and Clear of all Incumberances Whatsoever and is the True and Perfect Owner of the sd hereby Bargained premised with the appurtenances and hath in himself full ..[an illegible word].., good, rights and Lawfull Interest and Authority to grant Bargain Sell and Assign over the Same premises untot he said James Brooks and his heirs & Assigns for Ever In manner afsd and that he the said Thomas Winman Roden and his heirs the Same Above Bargained Premises with the appurtenances to ye sd James Brooks his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the party above Named to these Presents Indenture have Interchangeably set their hand and Seal the day and year above Written. Marland Pr June the 8th 1751 Ten came Thomas Winman Roden party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the same with the Lands and premises therein mentioned to be the right of the within Named James Brooks his heirs and assigns for ever according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly and also Came Mary Roden before us and acknowledged her right of Dowery willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto with fears or Threats or ill Usages by her husband or fears of his Displeasure.
