I the said Nancy Stephens do grant unto Jesse Wright all the right title and interest of her land which Samuel Stephens, late, seized and possessed and appointed by lot W and T viz 2 lots of land called "New Market Plains" and 2 lots situate on the north side of Main Street of Town of New Market on Alley #5 of "Halls Part" of said Town, the east half of front lot #32 and the back lot #99, it being the same property heretofore conveyed to Nancy Stephens by deed dated 14th day of June 1859 by Nathan Stephens and Elizabeth E. Stephens and recorded B.G.F. #7 folio 642 . . . Provided that if I the said Nancy Stephens shall pay on or before the 18th February 1864 to said Jesse Wright the sum of $154 with interest thereon from the date thereof then the mortgage shall be void. And provided further that if said Nancy Stephens shall fail to pay the sum $154 with interest thereon at the time specified, the said Jesse Wright may sell the said mortgaged premises by first giving notice of not less than 30 days published in some newspaper printed in Frederick Town to pay said sum of money with interest . . . .
