Thomas ADDENS John ADDELSPERGER John HUGHES and Richard BROOKE Trustees of the Roman Catholic Congregation of Taneytown of the other part Witnefseth that the said John COSKERY for and in consideration of the sum of 110 pounds current money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Trustees at the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said Nicholas ZOCCHI Henry SPALDING Joseph TANEY Sent Thomas ADAMS John ADELSPERGER John HUGHES and Richard BROOKE Trustees of the Roman Catholic Congregation of Taney Town aforesaid Their Succefsors and afsigns forever All that lot or portion of ground lying and being in Taney Town in the County of Frederick aforesaid know and distinguished on the plan of said Town by number 40 with the buildings improvements and appurtenances thereon or thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the aforesaid lot or portion of ground with the appurtenances unto the said Nicholas ZOCCHI Henry SPALDING Joseph TANEY Sent. Thomas ADAMS John ADELSPERGER John HUGHES and Richard BROOKE Trustees of the congregation aforesaid their succefsors and afsign To the only proper use and behoof of the corporation aforesaid and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever The said Trustees their succefsors and afsigns yielding to the proprietor of Taney Town aforesaid the annually and accustomed ground rent payable on the said lot of ground. In witnefs whereof the said John COSKERY hath hereto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first aforesaid Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Jos Jim SMITH Thos JONES John COSKERY (SEAL) which was thus endorsed, to wit, Frederick County To Wit: We hereby certify that on the 27th day of April 1805 John COSKERY the party grantor named in the foregoing instrument of writing appeared before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the lot or portion of ground therein mentioned to be the Estate Right and property of the Rev. Nicholas ZOCCI, Henry SPALDING, Joseph TANEY Sent. Thomas ADAMS, John ADELSPERGER, John HUGHES and Richard BROOKE as trustees of the Roman Catholic Congregation of Taneytown their succefsors and afsigns forever at the same time came JACOBA CLEMENTINA BOTHILDA COSKERY wife of the said John COSKERY and being by us privately examined apart from and out of the hearing of her husband also acknowledged the said instrument of writing to be her act and Deed and declared that she made such acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fear or threats of ill usage by her husband or through fear of his displeasure-given under our hands the day and year first above written.
