Smith and Philemon M. Smith, Jr. of Frederick County, MD, Executor of John Hill Smith, dec'd, of one part and Samuel Stephens of said second part . . . in consideration of $56 . . . doth devise grant and farm-let unto him the aforesaid Samuel Stephens. All that messuage or lot of ground called and known by the name Lot #103, in town called New Market - together with all and singulars the advantages and profits, that shall or may arise on said lot for and during the term or time of 99 years and renewable forever . . . said Samuel Stephens paying yearly on the first day of May unto the legal representatives of Nicholas Hall, dec'd, proprietor of the said Town of New Market the sum of 5 shillings on said lot of ground.
