All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ************************************************ Source: Frederick County, MD Courthouse - Records Dept E.S. 10, Page 604 Deed Recorded October 14, 1857 This Indenture made this 19th day of April 1857 between Nancy Stephens, Mary Lucas, Rebecca Lucas and Susan Lucas of Frederick County, MD and Ezra Brandenburg . . . sum of $2,800 . .. parcel of land called Middle Plantation situated and lying in Frederick County . . . beginning at the end of the first line of the land now owned by Michael Lease and running North 73 degrees to the end of the second course of the whole tract then running with the said second corner to the end thereof to the bounded tree of Middle Plantation then to the land now owned by William Henry Lease thence straight line to the first beginning - excepting so much of said tract as was conveyed by John Lucas to Thomas Maynard using 3 acres more or less of land and instead thereof adding a parcel or piece containing 3 acres of land which was conveyed to the said John Lucas by said Thomas Maynard - an exchange of parcel made to straighten a line - in all containing 102 acres more or less being same property of which the said John Lucas died seized and possessed and also the same conveyed by John Hall of Annapolis City to Thomas Walters of the county and state aforesaid by deed 17th August 1774 and recorded in folios 308 and 9. One of the land records of Frederick County, as by reference thereto will more fully appear . . . the said Nancy Stephens, Mary Lucas, Rebecca Lucas and Susan Lucas of in and to the same . . . shall and will warrant and forever default by this presents against the claims of all persons, except a reserve of the burying ground on said farm with free egress and engress to the same . . .
