All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ************************************************ Source: Frederick County, MD Courthouse - Records Dept E.S. 5, Pages 434, 4, and 5 Deed Recorded February 10, 1865 This Indenture made this 22nd day of September 1854 between Henry Spunier and wife, Sarah H. being of Frederick County, MD of one part and Samuel Stephens of second part in consideration of $1,600 and $800 ready money and $800 in a note of good security payable 12 months after date of this deed and $400 in a note at 2 years from same date, both bearing interest . . . sold . . . land lying and being in Frederick County .. . to-wit part of "Supply to the Barrens" part of "Middle Plantation" and part of "Wet Mires" all included in one entire tract. Beginning line called "Locust Thicket" . . . containing 78 acres. (The above described lands were conveyed to Nathan Hammonds of N. by John Wood, the Trustee appointed to sell the real estate of the late John Burgess by deed 31st May 1824 and by Nathan Hammond to said Thomas Hammond by deed 19 October 1934 all recorded in Frederick County land records.) The said parcels of land being conveyed to Joseph and Henry Spunier/Spurrier by Thomas Hammond by deed 13 November 147. W.B. 5, folio 482 . . . was conveyed to Henry Spunier by Joseph Spunier by deed dated 21 September 1854 . . . also all the following part of a tract being part of a tract called "Polly Inheritance" . . . 17th lie of the whole part of said land owned by the late Elias W. Boteles . . . corner of E. Dean's land . . . corner of Jacob Jacob's land . . . containing 36 acres and 30 perches of land, more or less; the said tract was conveyed to Henry Spunier by Thomas H. and Mary E. Etchison by deed dated 20 February 1852 recorded Frederick County. . .
