All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ************************************************ Source: Frederick County, MD Courthouse - Records Dept E.S. 9, Page 354 Deed recorded March 30, 1857 This deed made this 13th day of March 1857 by Nancy Stephens, Executor, of the State of Maryland in Frederick County; whereas by the Last Will and Testament of Samuel Stephens, late of said County, dec'd . . . has been exhibited, proved, and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills for said County, the said Nancy Stephens was appointed . . . was directed and authorized to sell certain real estate or land, therein specified to be sold and has sold the "machine shop" and lot to Jesse Wright of the state aforesaid, for the sum of $200. . . . lot of ground situated lying and beginning south side of the Main Street in the Town of New Market in the said County containing the following dimensions viz: Beginning to the front of the west line of the ally belonging to Jacob Trayer and running west 26 feet and measuring 44 feet south, in depth, from the front of said lot, it being a part of the lot known as "Front Lot North 34" on the plat of said town, and conveyed to the Samuel Stephens by Asa Swomley and Mary Swomley, his wife, and Jacob Trayer and Sarah, his wife, by deeds recorded among the land records of said Frederick County.
