George Beckwith made an indenture with Daniel Dulaney Sr. on 10 Jun 1767
"Locust Level" in Frederick County

Whereas the Conditions specified in an Indenture made the tenth Day of June in 
the year of our Lord seventeen Hundred and sixty one between me the Subscriber 
of the one part & George Beckwith Senior of Frederick County of the other part 
have not been observed and performed according to the form Intent & Meaning 
thereof in Consequence whereof I the Subscriber am intitled [sic] to reenter 
into the parcel of Land and every part thereof contained and described in the 
said Indenture and the same to have again atain and enjoy as in my former Estate 
& all Occupiers from then_ to expel put out & a move And whereas Charles 
Beckwith or some other person by agreement with Him or with his privity and 
Consent occupies a parcel of Land being part of the Tract of Land called Locust 
Level without any legal Right or Title thereto An whereas the Conditions 
mentioned and specified in an Indenture made the 21st Day of March one thousand 
seven Hundred and sixty seven between me the Subscriber on the one part & John 
Bailey of Frederick Town on the other part have not been observed & performed 
according to the Form Intent & Meaning thereof in Consequence whereof I the 
subscriber am intitled to re-enter into the Lotts or Portions of Land mentioned 
& described in the said Indenture & the same to have again retain and enjoy as 
of my former Estate Wherefore I the Subscriber do by these presents constitute 
authorize and appoint Richard Potts Esquire for me and on my Behalf to re-enter 
into the parcel of Land and every part thereof mentioned & described in the 
Indenture first above mentioned and all Occupiers from in the Indenture first 
above mentioned and all Occupiers from thence to expel put out and a move so 
that I may have again retain & enjoy the same as in my former Estate and also to 
enter into the parcel of Land aforesaid occupied by Charles Beckwith or any 
other person by Agreement with him or with Beckwith or any other person by 
agreement with Him as with his privity or Consent & from thence to expel put out 
and a move the said Charles Beckwith or such other person as aforesaid And also 
to re-enter into the Lotts or Portions of ground mentioned & described in the 
Indenture aforesaid between me the Subscriber and John Bailey aforesaid & all 
Occupiers from thence to expel put out & move so that I may have again retain 
and enjoy the same as in my former Estate and moreover by these presents I do 
authorize and empower the aforesaid Richard Potts Esq. if unto him it shall be 
seem meet to depute substitute & appoint any Person or Persons whom He shall or 
may think proper for me and on my Behalf to execute the Intent purpose and 
Design of these present in witness whereof I hereunto set my Hand & Seal this 
8th Day of August 1785.
