At the request of John A. Peters the following deed is received for record and 
recorded January 31, 1889 at 12 o’clock PM.

This deed made this sixth day of October in the year eighteen hundred and 
eighty-eight by Joseph C. Rosensteel and Ann Rosensteel his wife of Frederick 
County in the State of Maryland:  Witnesseth that in consideration of two 
hundred and fifty dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that said 
Joseph C. Rosensteel and Ann Rosensteel his wife do grant unto John A. Peters 
of County and State aforesaid in fee simple all that lot of ground and premises 
situated and being in Frederick County in the State of Maryland described as 
follows to wit:  Beginning for the same at a point on the side of the Mountain 
Road near the corner of Gust Kreitz’ lot and running thence with the line of 
Gust Wagner’s land South 69 ½ degrees West 28 44/100 perches to a stone near a 
large chestnut tree on the line of Mr. John T. Peddicord’s land thence with the 
line of said land South 12 ¼ degrees East 17 8/100 perches to a stone planted 
on the same line thence North 59 degrees East 31 24/100 perches to a point on 
the side of a reserved road and thence with the line of said reserve road North 
18 ¾ degrees West 11 12/100 perches to the beginning containing two acres two 
rods and 21 perches of land more or less together with all and singular the 
buildings and improvements rights and privileges advantages and appurtenances 
thereto belonging or appertaining together with the right to the use of the 
herein before mentioned reserved road.  The said property hereby granted being 
part of the tract of land conveyed to the said Joseph C. Rosensteel by Mary E. 
Adelsberger and John M. Adelsberger by deed dated the tenth day of August 1880 
and recorded in Liber AF No. 3 Folio 421 one of the land records of Frederick 
County and the said Joseph C. Rosensteel and Ann Rosensteel his wife that they 
will warrant specially the property hereby conveyed.

State of Maryland, Frederick County to wit:

I hereby certify that on this sixth day of October in the year eighteen hundred 
and eighty-eight before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of 
Maryland in and for the County of Frederick personally appeared Joseph C. 
Rosensteel and Ann Rosensteel and did each acknowledge the aforegoing deed to 
be their respective act.
