Mrs. Cleeta Abrecht, the daughter- in-law of the deceased, reported the death to police headquarters at 1:55 p.m. on Monday. Mrs. Abrecht said that her father-in-law left home at about 12:00 p.m. yesterday and took a short walk, returning home at 1:45 p.m. He then went down into the Abrecht basement and started to work repairing a cane seat in a chair. At 1:55 p.m. Mrs. Abrecht heard a noise in the basement and went to see what was happening. She found her father-in-law lying on the floor of the basement and immediately called for the United ambulance. The United crew administered oxygen in vain. Dr. James Thomas as acting medical examiner, was summoned to the Abrecht home and pronounced Mr. Abrecht died of a heart attack. Mr. Abrecht, who has been blind for some years, was born in Frederick a son of the late Niles A. and Josie Smith Abrecht, both of Frederick County. He was graduate of the Boys’ High School, Calss of 1917 and was an accountant and bookkeeper at the Ox Fibre Brush Company for 25 years. For the last five years he had been engaged in recaning chairs. Mr. Abrecht was a devout member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows; Frederick Council 118 Jr. O.U. A. M. Surviving are his wido, Mrs. Viola F. Pearl Abrecht, Frederick; one brother, Robert N. Abrecht, Frederick; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the funeral home 8 East Patrick street where friends may call after 7 o’clock tonight. Funeral services will be held there Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment in Mt.
