Cronise. Clayton Howard Cronise, residing at 101 W. 12th Street, died Wednesday at 11 a. m. in Frederick Memorial Hospital where he ahd been a patient for the past three weeks. He was 85 years of age. Mr. Cronise came to Frederick at an early age where he has since resided. He was employed for 43 years at the Frederick Iron and Steel Company and served as foreman of the pattern department. He was born in Wheatland, Virginia, a son of the late Americus C. and Alice Brean Cronise. His wife, Katherine LaMar Cronise, predeceased him in 1946. Surviving are two daughters, Miss A. Katherine Cronise, Frederick and Mrs. E. Bernard Davis, Binghamtom, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Rebert, Westminster, Mrs. Grace C. Storm, Frederick and Mrs. Richard Simmons, near Myersville. Four grandchildren, Bernard LaMar Davis, Fort Bliss, Texas, Mrs. John A. Buerk, Albany, N. Y., Miss Virginia M. Davis and J. Clayton Davis, both of Binghamton, N. Y. and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Cronise was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge, 1067, Frederick and the Junior Order of American Mechanics. The body is at the funeral home, 1201 North Market Street, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held there Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. Robert E.
