Cronise Mr. Norman M. Cronise, 88, of 5 Kline Blvd., Frederick, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Mildred Payne Cronise. Born in Frederick County, Oct. 27, 1890, he was a son of the late Curbington E. and Mary Moore Cronise. Mr. Cronise, prior to his retirement in 1959, was employed by the International Correspondence School, Scranton, Pa., for 40 years. He served initially as a field representative, director of field staff training, assistant to the president, and as the Eastern sales director. Mr. Cronise was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Frederick, and served on the Official board of the church. Survivors included two sisters, Mrs. W. Lee Hoke, New Windor, and Mrs. Chester S. Sheppard, Washington, D.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Motter Avenue Extended, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Robert E. Zimmerli, his pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemtery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Frederick County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 22 S. Market St., Frederick, Md. 21701.
