He was a native of Frederick county, but went to Ellicott city when he was a youth, and for many years was employed in the Thistle Cotton Mills. He leaves in his immediate family two sons, George and Emory Curtis, of Baltimore. The wife of the deceased died about 10 years ago. Mr. Curtis was 72 years of age.
