DONSIFE William L. Donsife, 66, of Damascus died suddenly early Monday at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was born at Woodsboro a son of the late William L. and Emily Newlin Donsife and was the husband of Mrs. Miriam L. Donsife. He was a sign painter having recently retired from Fort Detrick and was a operating a sign shop in Damascus. He was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Damascus, a veteran of World War I and II, a member of the Damascus Post No. 171 of the American Legion and was post chaplain of Mount Airy Post No. 10076, V.F.W. He was also a member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving, besides this wife, is a son, Richard N. Donsife, Eau-Gallie, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur C. German, Damascus; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn N. Donsife and Mrs. Ruth Hall both of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home in Damascus today from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home by his pastor, the Rev. Richard F. Batman. Burial will be in the Middletown Lutheran Cemetery.
