The Daily News, Frederick, Maryland, Monday, 3 December 1923
Wm. H. Gilbert, died suddenly this morning at 9:30 oclock at the home of his daughter, 
Mrs. Dr. R. L. Hammond, 220 South Market street, aged nearly 83 years.  He is the last 
member of his family and is survived by only one child, Mrs. Hammond, and a number of 
grandchildren.  Mr. Gilbert had made his home for a number of years with his daughter.  
Funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock with services at above address.  
Burial will be in the cemetery at Woodsboro.  C.E. Cline funeral director.
