Mr. Gombar was one among the few surviving members of that bnd of heroes and patriots who, in their youth, periled their lives, and endured the hardships and privations of war, to achieve that liberty and independence, the glory of which is now enjoyed by their posterity. In all the relations of life, the deceased sustained an unblamed and unblameable character---he died as he had lived, a truly honest man.---[Citizen.
