Born April 13, 1944 in Gaithersburg, she was a daughter of the late Darrell H. and Mary Elizabeth Magers Law. Surviving her are four children: Carl Breakfield, Anna Marie Breakfield, Kenny Breakfield and Nathan Breakfield, all of South Carolina; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara Jean Law and Virginia Prichard, both of Boyds; two brothers: David H. Law of Mount Airy and Robert Law of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Olin L. Molesworth P.A. Funeral Home. Interment was at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. *****Feb. 23, 2001***** James Willis Adcock Mr. James Willis Adcock Sr., 64, died Feb. 12, 2001, at his home in Woodfield. Born Jan. 4, 1937 in Charlottesville, Va., he was son of the late Willis L. and Sara Adcock. Surviving him are four children: James Willis Adcock Jr. and his wife Joanna of Damascus; Jeffrey Stafford Adcock and his wife Barbara Lee of Frederick; Pamela Jean Emmett and her husband Thomas D. of Louisville, K.Y., and Kimberly Sue Johnson and her husband, David, of New Market; a former wife Shelby Butcher of Frederick; and 14 grandchildren. Services were held Feb. 15 at the Olin L. Molesworth P.A., Funeral Home in Damascus. Jessie N. Grigsby Mrs. Jessie N. Grigsby, 80, of Frederick and formerly of Mount Airy, died after a brief illness on Feb. 5, 2001, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was wife of the late Don E. Grigsby, who died in 1977. Born Jan. 29, 1921 in Mount Airy, she was a daughter of the late Asa Hull and Jessie Fay Brandenburg Watkins. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University and Vassar College. She served as Past Worthy Matron of Mount Airy Lodge Order of Eastern Star, Past President of the Mount Airy Garden Club, served as civic beautification chairman of District V. She was also a member of Federated Garden Club and served as Frederick County District Chairman for the American Red Cross. She was an accomplished organist. Surviving are one son, Don E. Grigsby Sr. and his wife, Beverly, of Frederick, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Grigsby is preceded in death by her son Christopher Hull Grigsby and by a brother, Bradley Ellsworth Watkins. Graveside services and inurment were held Feb. 8 at Pine Grove Cemetery, South Main Street, Mount Airy. Arrangements by Olin L. Molesworth P.A., Funeral Home in Damascus.
