He was the husband of Sandra "Ahalt" Titus. Born Feb. 21, 1954 in Hagerstown he was the son of Eileen Clarke Titus and the late Robert Lee Titus Sr. Mr. Titus was a member and President of the Hagerstown Quarter Midget Association and was an avid race car fan. He was employed as an auto technician at King's Automotive Group in Gaithersburg for 13 years. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by: two children Katrina Toombs and husband James Robert, Jr. of Keedysville, and Robert Lee Titus, III and Wiliam Hale Toombs; one sister Debbie Ashbaugh and husband Danny of Boonsboro; a very special niece Lori Ahalt and several nieces and nephews; his mother-and-father-in-law, Norman and Dorothy Ahalt; his very special friends Janice and Paul Boismen, Jim, Terry and Kevin Boyer and Joe Adams. He was preceded in death by a brother Timmy Titus. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 5, at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Manor Reformed Cemetery, Frederick. Ronald B. Johnson Ronald B. Johnson, 69, a retired executive of the National Bureau of Standards (now the National Institute of Standards and Technology), and a Past District Governor of Rotary District 7620 (Central Maryland and the District of Columbia) died suddenly Feb. 21, 2003 of heart attack in Prince Frederick. He was a resident of the Washington metropolitan area for 30 years before moving to Solomons. Mr. Johnson was an active volunteer in Rotary International, rising to the position of District Governor of District 7620 in 1988-89. In this position, he had responsibility for 61 Rotary Clubs, leading their efforts in community and international service. During his tenure, he and the President of Rotary International were received by President George Bush in recognition of Rotary's role in promoting world understanding and peace. He also represented Rotary International at a special White House Rose Garden ceremony recognizing the major voluntary charitable organizations in the U. S. He came to the Rotary Governorship after 10 years of dedicated Rotary service, all in Maryland clubs. A member of the Rotary Club of Potomac, which he served as President from 1983 ­ 1984, he helped to found and charter the Rotary Club of Germantown in 1985. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Bette Johnson of Solomons; a son, Bill Campbell of Solomons; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Feb. 26 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Prince Frederick. Donations may be made in Mr. Johnson's name to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
