She was the wife of Jack Feeney for 43 years. Born Aug. 5, 1938, in Sugarloaf, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Molitoris. Mrs. Feeney was a 1959 graduate of the Paterson General Hospital School of Nursing in Paterson, N.J. Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Debbie Sudol and her husband Ted of South Jordan, Utah; two sons, John B. Feeney Jr. and his wife Patricia of Gaithersburg and James R. Feeney and his wife Sandy of Chandler, Ariz.; three brothers, John, George and Richard Molitoris; four sisters, Anna Velebir, Mary Good, Susan Molitoris and Ruth Edel; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Olin L. Molesworth P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring. Myrtle V. Lowery Mrs. Myrtle V. Lowery, 85, of Frederick died on Saturday May 31, 2002, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis L. Lowery Sr. who died in 1968. Born in Darnestown on April 2, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jay Hugh and Minnie Mae Gray Grimes. Surviving is one son, Francis L. Lowery Jr. of Littlestown, Pa.; four daughters, Frances Betty Lowery of Maple Shade, N.J., Jane Wonders of Dillsburg, Pa., Connie M. Lowery of Woodstock, Va., and Roxanne Santiago of Miami; one brother, Robert Hugh Grimes of Germantown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Four children -- Mary V. Ballenger, Audrey L. Lowery, Robert Hugh Lowery and Gloria J. Lowery -- preceded Mrs. Lowery in death. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3, at Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus. Interment was in Darnestown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The Rev. Franklin Bishop officiated. *****June 19, 2003***** William R. Mitchell Mr. William Raymond (Ray) Mitchell, 71, of Frederick, died Sunday, June 15, at his home, after a brave struggle with cancer. Ray was the husband of Gerri Mitchell. He was a computer enthusiast who enjoyed world travel, cooking, home improvement projects and spending time with his family. Born on Feb. 19, 1932, in Punta Gorda, Fla., Ray was the son of the late George and Alice Mitchell. Ray was a 1949 graduate of Venice-Nokomis High School in Venice, Fla. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1954, and was a 1956 graduate of the University of Florida. He was a director of financial management for the Atomic Energy Commission (later the Department of Energy), until his retirement in 1979. Ray was recognized for distinguished public service throughout his career, and received a National Institute of Public Affairs Fellowship in 1965, for a year of graduate studies at The University of Chicago. In addition to his beloved wife Gerri, Ray is survived by his sister, Carolyn Mitchell Singleton and her husband Jack; children Margaret Alison Mitchell, Patricia Anne Mitchell and William George Mitchell and his wife Ann; stepchildren Erin Nugent McGonagle and husband Vincent; Heather Anne Nugent; and James Patrick Nugent; grandchildren Joshua Michael Larsen; Jesse Mitchell Hogue; Samuel Mitchell Serbay; Shea Grantz Mitchell and Gavin Scott McGongale. He was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Mitchell. Friends and family will remember Ray at a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at the Francis Scott Key Memorial Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick. Lutz Lucille Kuster Lutz, 80, a resident of Boyds, died June 19, 2003, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. She was the wife of the late Harold Lutz. Mrs. Lutz was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and crafts. A lifelong member of Boyds Presbyterian Church, she was a Sunday school superintendent. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Cosner and husband Steve of Germantown; a son, Harold Lutz Jr. and his wife Trish of Walkersville; granddaughters Lori Foster and husband Paul of Boyds, Carlene Salkeld, Potomac, Courtney Salkeld, Potomac, and Joselyn Fink, New Mexico; grandsons Jeffrey Fink, New Mexico, Jake and Joey Lutz, Walkersville; great-grandsons Brian and Matt Foster of Boyds; a brother, Robert Kuster; and two sisters, Joanne Nelson and Eleanor Chaconas. A daughter, Helen Lutz Kennan, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday at Boyds Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Merritt Ednie officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
