Daymude Larry L. Daymude, 66, of Mount Airy died on Monday, July 28 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. Born March 27, 1917 in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late G. Leonard and Maud B. Howes Daymude. He attended Kensington Elementary School and Kensington Junior High School, Fort Union Military Academy in Virginia, and Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring. He was a member of the Kensington Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Damascus Lions Club. He worked for G. Leonard Daymude and Co., Inc. from 1946 until he became owner in 1972. He was a collector of home amusements, such as Emmitt Kelly figures, clocks, watches and Washington Redskins memorabilia. He is survived by wife Jean L. Daymude, and three sons: Larry Leonard Daymude II of California; Scott Allen Daymude and wife Lisa of Monrovia; and Jamie Christopher Daymude and wife Deborah of Damascus; four grandchildren: Jacob Scott and Alex Eugene Daymude of Monrovia; and Amanda Elizabeth and Ashley Nicole Daymude of Damascus; two sisters: Shirley J. Curtis of Silver Spring and Amelia Ann Patton of Monrovia; and a brother, Gerald Gilbert Daymude of Germantown. Funeral services were directed by the Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville, on July 31. The Rev. William George of Kensington Baptist Church and the Rev. William Stamper of the Olney Full Gospel Church officiated. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick. The family requests memorial contributions to The National Kidney Foundation, 5335 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Suite 830, Washington, D.C. 20015.
