He was aged 57 years, two months and 17 days. Mr. Harper had been in ill health for the past three months, but had been as usual when he was seized with the attack about 9 o’clock Wednesday night. He was the son of the late Richard K. and Phoebe Harper and was a life-long resident of Frederick county. He was a painter by trade. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Blanche Ramsburg, and by the following brothers and sisters; Charles R. Harper, Frederick; Allen Harper, a twin brother, Hansonville; J. Norman Harper, Lewstown; Mrs. Henry Stottlemyer, Utica, and Mrs. William Shoemaker, Hansonville. Mr. Harper was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Utica. He was active in the work of the church, a member of the choir for several years, and served on the council. He was a member of Glade Valley Jr. O. U. A. M., Walkersville. The funeral will take place form the late home Sunday afternoon at two o’clock, his pastor, Rev. F. R. Seibel, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery at Utica. M. L.
