The Daily News, Frederick, Maryland, Thursday, 18 August 1892
Mrs. Catherine E. Himes, widow of the late Daniel Himes, died at her residence, three miles 
southeast of Jefferson, Tuesday evening at 5.30 o’clock, of bilious fever of a mild typhoid 
form, aged 59 years.  The funeral took place this morning at 10 o’clock.  The sermon was 
preached at the house by S. A. Hedges, pastor of the Lutheran church at Jefferson  Interment 
was made at that place.  Riley Etchison was the funeral director.
