Mrs. Caroline V. Kolb
  Mrs. Caroline Virginia Kolb, widow of David Kolb, died shortly after noon, 
Tuesday, at her home 23 East Third street of complications, aged 83 years.  
Mrs. Kolb was a daughter of the late Henry Hudson and Harriet Shank Sawyer and 
is survived by one brother, Ezra Sawyer of Vineland, N. J. and the following 
children; Mrs Marion Sawyer Green, Miss Harriet E. Kolb, Miss Alice Kolb and 
Robert L. Kolb, all at home.  The deceased was a member of an old Frederick 
family and had resided here all her life with the exception of a few years 
spent in Baltimore during her childhood.  She was a consistent member of the 
Evangelical Reformed church.  She possessed a quiet disposition and her 
consideration for others endeared her to a large circle of friends.  Although 
not taking an active part she was deeply interested in the work of the church 
and community.  Mrs. Kolb fell sometime ago and injured her arm and although 
it seemingly was much improved, it was the beginning of the illness that 
resulted in her death.
  The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 4.30 o’clock with services at 
her late home, in charge of Dr. Henri L G. Kieffer assisted by Dr Chas. E. 
Wehler.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  C. E. Cline and son, 
funeral directors.
