HAGERSTOWN, Nov. 23 – Saml. Leonard, aged 60 years while engaged in moving a ladder
which he was using in tinning the roof of the house of Mrs. Zeller, adjoining the 
Presbyterian Church, in this city, fell to the ground, a distance of about 25 feet.  
The fall besides having probably caused concussion of the brain ruptured air cells 
of the lungs, and in spite of the efforts of Drs. Ragan and Humrichouse, he died, 
in less than an hour after the fall.
