The Daily News, Frederick, Maryland, Monday, 3 December 1923
David O. Lewis died on Saturday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hannah E. Castle, 
of Hagerstown.  The body was removed to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rosie McAfee, at
Foxville, where the funeral will be held.  His age was 90 years, 1 month and 27 days.  He 
was a life long resident of Foxville.  Surviving are  he following children:  Thomas J. Lew s, 
of Ohio; David O. Lewis, of Foxville; Mrs. Hannah E. Castle of Hagerstown; Mrs. Emmit Flair, 
Smithsburg; Mrs. Gazella Wolf, Garfield; Mrs. Rosa McAfee, Foxville.  Funeral on Tuesday, with 
services at Bethel church.  Interment in the adjoining cemetery.  M.L. Creager and Son  
undertakers.
