HAMILTON LINDSAY DIES AT THURMONT - Former Register Of Wills Was Long A 
Resident Of Frederick -
 Mr. Hamilton Lindsay, former Register of Wills for this county, died last 
night at 11.30 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. C. Barnes, 
Thurmont.
 Mr. Lindsay was born in Unionville, this county, on June 24, 1834. When but a 
boy of 14 years he received an injury to his hip by a fall down a stairway, 
from the effects of which he was a cripple all the remaining years of his life. 
On February 17, 1859, he was married to Susan Amelia Barnes.
 In 1885 he was elected to the office of Register of Wills for Frederick 
county, in which capacity he served until 1892. At the close of his term of 
office he engaged in the real estate and insurance business, and for many years 
had an office on Court street, this city. In 1904 he moved to Baltimore and 
resided there for about six years, during which time his wife died, about six 
years ago. About two years ago he moved to Thurmont.
 Mr. Lindsay will long be remembered as a kind and genial gentleman of the old 
school. He was generous to a fault and always ready to help anyone in distress.
 He is survived by the following children: Mrs. L. L. Clogg, Baltimore; Mrs. L. 
C. Barnes, Thurmont; Mrs. F. M. Eichman, Baltimore; Clarence A. Lindsay, 
Unionville; Miss S. Irene Lindsay, Thurmont; Aubrey G. Lindsay, Thurmont, and 
Miss Faith B. Lindsay, Baltimore.
 The funeral will take place Sunday with services at Unionville at noon. 
Interment will be made in Linganore cemetery. Wilhide & Creager, of Thurmont, 
have charge of the funeral.
