A notice was handed us this morning announcing the death of 
George Marquert, one of the old defenders of the War of 1812, 
at Montevue Hospital yesterday morning from general debility,
being about ninety-one years of age.  He has been an inmate 
of the hospital for the past seven or eight years, and was 
well-known throughout the county.  His funeral took place this 
afternoon at three o’clock at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
