The funeral of the late Joshua Phelps, who dropped dead yesterday morning of
apoplexy in this city, took place this afternoon at 2 o’clock, from his late 
residence near Long Branch. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.J. 
Kantner in the Mt. Carmel church.  The pall bearers were: Samuel Crawford, Wm. 
T. Bell, Jacob Dinterman, John Kolb.  Interment was made in the graveyard 
adjoining the church.  C.C. Carty had charge of the funeral arrangements.
