The Daily News, Frederick, Maryland, Monday, 27 January 1890

Mrs. Mary A., widow of the late Eli Shafer, died at 9 15 o’clock this morning at her
late home on W. 3d street.  She was 77 years old and leaves two daughters.  Her 
funeral will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m.  Interment to be made in Mt. Olivet 
cemetery.
