Shank Clarence I. Shank, former Taneytown area farmer who had made his home in Baltimore in recent years, died on Friday morning at the Hood Convalescent Home, Baltimore. He was aged 79 years. He had retired from farming about 4 years ago and had made his home in Baltimore since that time. He was a son of the late Otha Agustia and Elizabeth Rebecca Smith Shank. Survivors include his wife Allie G Shank, Taneytown, and six children, Grayson A Shank, Union Bridge, Mrs. Edward Shorb, Hanover, Agustus Shank, Taneytown, Emmitt Shank, RFD, Taneytown, Mrs. Robert Yingling, Baltimore, Elis Shank, Hialeah, Fla. In addition one sister, Mrs. Laura R. Newcomer, Taneytown, and two grandchildren survive. The body rest at the funeral home in Taneytown where friends may call this evening from 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral services on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock from the funeral home in charge of Rev. Glenn L. Stahl, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro. C. O.
