John William Shank
  John William Shank died at his home near Walkersville Saturday morning 8 
o’clock of general debility, aged 83 years and 4 days.  He was a son of 
Frederick and Phoebe Shank.  Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Clara M. 
Riggs, near Walkersville; Mrs. Annie E. Baer, Utica; Mrs. Emma C. Cramer, near 
Walkersville.  Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
  Funeral at the home today at 1.30 p.m., Rev. W. R. Hartzell, Walkersville, 
officiating.  Interment in Glade cemetery.  M. L. Creager and Son, funeral 
directors.
