George D. Speak
  George Daniel Speak, Creagerstown, died Friday morning at six o’clock in the 
Emergency Hospital, aged 70 years, 4 months and 23 days.  He was a son o the 
late Charles and Margaret Anders Speak, natives of Creagerstown.  Surviving 
are his wife Carrie M. Valentine Speak; a daughter, Miss Marguerite Speak, at 
home; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Stitely and Mrs. Della Liday, both of 
Thurmont.  Mr. Speak had been a member of St. John’s Lutheran church in 
Creagerstown.
  The body is at the funeral home where friends may call until the time of 
services on Sunday afternoon at three o’clock.  Ref. E. K. Helwig will 
officiate.  Interment in United Brethren cemetery, Thurmont.  M. L. Creager 
and Son, funeral directors.
