Clay, third son of Arnold Vanfosen, Esq., living on the corner of Market and Sixth streets, died suddenly of paralysis of the heart at about 9:30 o’clock last night. He was sitting at the table reading when the attack came on and by the time he was removed to a lounge near by he was dead. Dr. Franklin B. Smith was sent for and did all that was possible to bring hte back into the inanimate body, but to no avail. The deceased was born on the 23rd of December, 1860 and was consequently in the 24th year of his age. He was a member of the Junior Fire Company and much thought of by all who knew him. He was a blacksmith by trade and worked with his father, to whom he was an invaluable help. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock.
