W. Wright, of Middletown, died about 9 o’clock last Friday night, after a lingering illness, aged 27 years. Miss Wright’s death was caused by consumption, from which she was a patient sufferer for about one year. Up to within a short time ago, however, she was able to be about, and only a few days before her death she walked out a few steps of her residence to the front of the M. E. Church, of which congregation she was a member, and in whose Sunday-school she had been an earnest worker. She was taken seriously ill on Friday morning and died at 9 o’clock the same night. Her remains were interred Sunday afternoon in the M. E. Cemetery, and the funeral services were held by her pastor, Rev. Page Milburn, the Revs. H. W. Hoffmeier, L. A. Mann, M. L. Young, and C. H. Crowell being present also. Notwithstanding the furious snowstorm which prevailed at the time, many friends assembled to pay their last sad tribute to her memory.
