Miss Amanda D. Zimmerman

  Miss Amanda Donsife Zimmerman lifelong resident of the city and county, died 
at midnight Thursday at her home 210 East Patrick street, after a short 
illness.  Miss Zimmerman was born near Walkersville on August 5, 1856 a 
daughter of the late William H. and Sarah Ann Donsife Zimmerman.  She had 
resided in this city for many years and was a devoted member of Evangelical 
Lutheran church being a regular attendant when her health permitted.  For some 
years she was a teacher in the Lutheran Sunday school and at one time served as 
a departmental manager.   She is survived by one sister, Miss Clara Zimmerman, 
at home.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
  Funeral services Monday morning at 11 o’clock at Evangelical Lutheran 
church.  Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Harry E. Carty Company, funeral 
directors.
