Zimmerman David E. Zimmerman died at 8:15 o’clock Friday morning at his home on East Patrick street, of heart trouble, aged 64 years, 11 months and 6 days. He was a son of the late William H. and Sarah Donsife Zimmerman. He was educated in the public schools, and when young was employed by his father in the grocery store on the corner of Carroll and East Patrick streets, which for many years was known as the Zimmerman grocery store. About 19 years ago he purchased the store from his father. Several years ago he sold the business and retired. October 1, 1890 he was married to Miss Nannie R. Moberly, who survives him. He is also survived by one son, David Ralph Zimmerman, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Henry A. Hahn, Miss Clara E. Zimmerman, Miss Amanda D. Zimmerman, one brother, George H. Zimmerman, all of Frederick. He was a member of the Independent Hose Co., and had been assistant foreman for many years. Funeral Monday afternoon with services at the home on East Patrick St.. at two o’clock, and interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. C. C. Carty, funeral director.
