GEORGE E. ZIMMERMAN
  Gearge [sic] E. Zimmerman, 77, husband of Mrs. Wilma I. Trout Zimmerman, a 
long time resident of Walkersville, died Friday.
  Born in Frederick County, a son of the late Willis and L. Ella Roderick, he 
farmed in Glade Valley for a number of years and was an employe [sic] of the 
Glade Valley Milling Company for 20 years, retiring in 1955.  He was a member 
of the Walkersville Methodist Church, the Men’s Bible Class of the church and 
the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company.
  Surviving besides his wife are one son, charles W. Zimmerman, Silver Spring; 
one daughter, Mrs. Haller Best, Walkersville; two brothers, Elmer Zimmerman and 
Earl Zimmerman, both of Walkersville, four grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.
  Friends may call at the Barton Funeral Home, Walkersville after 7 p. m. 
today.  Services will be held from the funeral home Monday at 2 p.m.  Burial 
will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.  The family requests that in lieu of 
flowers, memorials be made to the Walkersville Church building fund.
