Abbott, a well known and popular young machinist, of this city, and Miss Jane Elizabeth Staley were married at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the bride’s home, West Patrick street, by Rev. E. L. McLean assisted by Rev. Dr. E. R. Eschbach in the presence of a few friends. The bride wore a charming gown of dark blue serge, trimmed in gold and white, and carried a shower bouquet of roses. A reception followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Abbott received many beautiful presents. They left on an afternoon train for Washington, Wilmington and Philadelphia. They will reside on South Warket [sic] street. Mr. Abbott is president of the Y. M. C. A. and is a highly respected young man. Mrs. Abbott is very attractive and accomplished. She is a graduate of the Female High School and for some years has been a teacher in that institution.
