Albaugh, Walkersville, and Horace Clayton Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton H. Wright, of Walkersville, were married on Sunday evening at seven o’clock in the Methodist church there. Rev. W. DeWitt Dickey, pastor, officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Walter L. Roney, of Frederick. Miss Albaugh chose for her matron of honor her sister, Mrs. Roney. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Glenn Sauders, Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Samuel Moran, McLean, Va. The bride was attired in a white satin gown with high neckline, low yoke and short lace peplum, full gathered skirt with long sleeves fitted at the wrist. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses. Her only jewelry was a sigle strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. The matron of honor wore an aqua taffeta gown with a high neckline, sort [sic] sleeves and full skirt. Her bouquet was of mixed fall flowers. The bridesmaids were attired in yellow taffeta gowns made similar to the matron of honor’s. Each wore a bandeaux matching her gown. They carried arm bouquets of mixed fall flowers. Carroll A. Wright, Washington, brother of the groom, served as best man. Charles Burrier, brother-in-law of the groom, Walkersville, and Samuel Moran, McLean, Va., were the ushers. Preceding the ceremony an organ recital was given by Miss Mary Nicodemus, Walkersville, and Charles Webber, sang “O Promise Me” and “Because.” A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the social room of the church. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Wright left for a two weeks weeding trip in Florida. For her going away outfit the bride chose a medium blue covert suit with black accessories and an orchid corsage. The bride is a graduate of Frederick High School in the class of 1944. She is now employed in the office of the Romey Motor Co., of Frederick. The groom also graduated from Frederick High School in the class of 1941 and served for two and one-half years in the Merchant Marine. He is now employed in the office of the Frederick Iron and Steel Co.
