All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Jacob Anders Will – Frederick Co., Maryland In the name of God Amen, I Jacob Anders of Frederick County in the State of Maryland being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainity of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and ----- be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say; First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereinafter named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid, I devise and bequeath as follows; I give and bequeath unto my wife all my household and kitchen furniture to have, to posess and dispose of as she may see proper to do. I also will and bequeath to my wife the interest of two thousand dollars to be paid to her annually by my executors hereinafter named. And it is my will, wish and desire that all my real and personal property be sold within one year after my death by my executors hereinafter named and the proceeds or money shall be equally divided among all my children share and share alike, except my daughter Susan, wife of John Bidinger who has received two hundred dollars which shall be deducted whe her equal share is paid to her. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint may sonw William aand Michael to be executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament, In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this eleventh day of December in the year 1870. Jacob Anders {seal} Witness John Tsouch[?] Owen Ledgeridge R G Barrick Maryland, Frederick County, to wit; on this twenty eight day of August 1877 came Michael Anders and Made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almightly God, that the aforegoing instrument of writing is the true whole will and testament of Jacob Anders late of Frederick County, deceased, that has come to his hands and possession, that he found the same among the papers of the testator, and that he does not know of any other of a later date, Test John R Rauzer Regr. Stae of Maryland, Frederick County, to wit; On the 28th day of August 1877, came John Tsouh[?], Owen Lidridge and R G Barrick the subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of Jacob Anders late of Frederick County deceased and mad oath on the Holy Evangley of Almighty God that they did see Jacob Anders the Testator therein named sign and seal this will; that they heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last will and testament that as the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension, of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to said will, in the presence of and at the request of the testator, and that they did also see each the subscribing witness sign his name as witness to said will as the request of the testator in his presence and all in the presence of each other.
