I Margaret Fulton of Frederick County in the State of Maryland, being in perfect health of Body and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave the world when it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following that is to say First and principally I commit my soul unto the hand of Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and after my Debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath or follows I give and bequeath to to the Four Children of Joseph White namely Mary White, Joseph White, Catherine White and Charles White Four Fifths of all the money due me or may hereafter be due me in my Life time from Samuel Lilly of Frederick County deceased for which I now or may at any time hereafter hold his note or obligation from his executor or his heirs to be distributed among the said four children of Joseph White aforesaid. So that the male children named above shall have ten pounds current money each of the above described debt or debts more then the females named above. Each when they or each of them arrives to the age of maturity, capable by law to demand their respective shares aforesaid and it is my will if one or more of said four children should die before they receive their respective shares, That in that case their share or shares shall be equally divided among the surviving children aforesaid and I give to each of the two females named within one Feather Bed and Furniture in addition to their respective shares aforesaid. I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Ann Fulton’s four children namely Aaron Fulton, John Fulton, Edward Fulton and Sary Ann Fulton one fifth part of all the money due me or may hereafter be due me in my Life time from Samuel Lilly of Frederick County deceased for which I now or any time hereafter may hold his note or obligation his executor or heirs, to be distributed among the four children of Ann Fultons above mentioned. Item I give and bequeath to the Four Children of Joseph White four fifths of all my personal estate and one fifth to the four children of Ann Fulton all the remainder of my personal estate to be sold by my executor hereinafter named at public sale and equally divided between them. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Cornelius Ridge of Frederick County and State of Maryland to be my Executor of this my last will and Testament revoking and annulling all formers wills by me heretofore made testifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament In testimony whereof I have hereunto let by hand and affixed my seal this seventh day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and twenty one 1821. Hart Frederick County to wit; On the 28th day of July 1823 there came Cornelius Ridge, and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the foregoing is the true whole will and testament of Margaret Fulton late of Frederick County deceased that hath come to his hand and possession and that he doth not know of any other. Frederick County to wit: On the 28th July 1823 there came George Beckenbaugh and John McDannell two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of Margaret Fulton late of Frederick County deceased and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see the testatrix herein named sign and seal this will that they heard her publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament that at the time of her doing she was to best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and that they together with John R. Curtis and Wm. H. Hart the other subscribing witnesses respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to said will in the presence and at the request of the testatrix and all in the presence of each other. Tesh.
