"Theobald Martz of Frederick Town. Will dtd. 9 March 1785, sick. To sons George and Balser: the new stone dwelling house adjoining the one I live in plus 1/4th of the lot said house stand on; also part of 4a tract" Stumbling Block" plus my mare and colt. Also to George: Negro girl Mary if he pays my funeral charges and debts. Ro son Peter: 1/4 of said lot. To son Henry, same, then to either of his siblings who shall support him decently. I particularly recommend him to George. To two daughters Elizabeth and Catherine Martz: dwelling house where I live and 1/4th of said lot. Balser and Henry to be allowed to occupy the shop and the room above the stairs for 3 years; also my desk.
