I Sally Mobberly Of Frederick County And State Of Maryland Being Sick And Weak Of Body And Of Perfect Mind And Memory Thanks Be Unto God Calling Into Mind The Uncertainty Of This Life And Knowing That Is Appointed Unto All Once To Die Do Make This My Last Will And Testament That Is To Say First Of All I Give And Recommend My Soul Unto The Hands Of Almighty God That Gave It And My Body I Recommend To The Earth To Be Buried At The Discretion Of My Executrix And That All My Just Debts Be Paid And Satisfied By My After Named Executrix And As Touching Worldly Affairs Wherewith It Has Pleased God To Help Me With In This Life ~ First I Will And Bequeath To My Dear Mother Drusilla Mobberly The One Hundred Dollars That She Has In Her Hands With The Two Hundred That Is To Collect To Be Applyd As She Thinks Proper For Which She Is To Pay No Interest During Her Life After Her Death The Three Hundred To Be Equally Divided Among My Brothers And Sisters ~ I! Also Will My Interest In The Land To Her During Her Natural Life And Should The Land Be Sold And A Division Take Place My Part I Wish Put At Interest And The Interest To Be Hers During Her Life Then To Be Divided Among My Brothers And Sisters Equally. I Also Will Her My Bed With The Pilley [sic] Cases Quilt And Boalster [sic] My Chest At Her Discretion ~ I Will To My Sister Elizabeth Richardson Half A Dozen Silver Tea Spoons And My Glass Cream Jug ~ I Give To My Sister Priscilla Mobberly My Mare Colt Saddle And Bridle Also My Dress [?] Glass Half Dozen Plates Bread Tray Waiter [?] And Bedstead. I Will To Jesse And Eldred Mobberly Two New Quilts ~ I Leave My Mother Executrix Of This My Last Will And Testament And That She See All My Just Debts Paid And Satisfied Wherefore I Have Hereunto Set My Hand And Affixed My Seal This 20th Day Of May Eighteen Hundred And Twelve. Written: May 20, 1812 In the Name of God Amen. Test James Murphy, Henry Ramserver Sally Mobberly Frederick County to wit on the 3rd day of August 1812 then came Drusilla Mobberly and made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the foregoing Instrument of writing is the True whole will and Testament of Sally Mobberly late of Frederick County Deceased that hath come to her hands & possession and that she doth not know of any other. Rich. Butler Reg. Frederick County to wit on the 3rd day of August 1812 then came James Murphy & Henry Ramserver and made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they saw Samuel P. Richardson sign this will by the Express direction of Sally Mobberly the Testatrix within named that they heard the Testatrix within named Publish Pronounce and Declare the same to be her last will and Testament that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their Apprehension of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding that they respectively Subscribed their names as Witnesses to this will in the presence & at the request of the Testatrix and all in the presence of each other ~ Rich.
