I Jacob Ramsburg Sr of Frederick County and State of Maryland, being in a declining state of health but of a Sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death an th euncertainty of the time thereof; and being desirous to setlle and adjust any worldy affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leve this world when it shall please God call me hence do therefore make and publish this as and for my last will and testatment in manner and form following, viz:' First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth, to be decently intered at the diseration [sic] of my Executrix and Executors hereinafter named and after all my just debts and funeral charges are fully paid and satisfied, i give devise and bequeath as follows -- Item. I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Mary Ann, and my son Wm Michael, the whole of my real estate consisting of Part of a Tract of Land called Baltzell's Content reserved containing 120 1/2 acres of land the same which was deeded to me by Fredk. Ramsburg by deed bearing daye 12th Oct 1827 and recorded in Liber J.S. No.28 folios 263 & 264 one of th eLand records of Frederick County, as by reference thereunto will more fully appear. Also the whole of my Personal Estate of what kind or nature soever, for and during the term of seven years, Provided nevertheless that should my said wife cange her name before the expiration of said term, then upon the happening of said event of my wifes changing her name or at the end of the said term of 7 years. It is further my will and desire and I do so order that my Executrix and Executor herein after named shall sell to the best advantage the whole of the before mentioned real and personal estate (except what is hereinafter otherwise disposed of) and I hereby authorise and empower my said Executrix & Executor, to execute and acknowledge a good and sufficient deed or deeds, to the purchaser or purchasers thereof. Item. I Give and bequeath unto each of my following named sons, the sum of fifty dollars, viz.: Wm. Michael, Frederick, John Thomas, & Stephen to them thier heirs or assigns forever, to be paid to them out of th emoney arising from the before mentioned real & personal esate. Item. I give and bequeath unto my said wife Mary Ann, and my following named sons and daughters viz. Henry, Susanna, Elizabeth Dunlap, William Michael, Ann Rebecca, Frederick, John Thomas, and Stephen, and my Grand Son Henry Buzard, and to thier heirs and assigns forever the whole of the rest and residue of the proceeds or money arising from the sail of the aforesaid personal estate & real estate to be equally divided between them share and share alike. Item. It is further my will and desire and I do hereby so order and direct that should my said Grand Son Henry Buzard die before he shall arrive to manhood then his portion shall fall to my before named children and it is further my will and desire that my wife Mary Ann & my son Wlliam Michael shall take care of my younger children and see that there is no more timber destroyed or consumed than what is necessary for the use of the Farm and for fuel use. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Mary Ann Executrix and my two sons Henry and William Michael Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and and [sic] making null and void all former will or wills by me at any time heretofore made or executred hereby ratifying and confirming this, and none other to be my last will and testament.
