I Jacob Stiers of Frederick County in the State of Maryland, being in perfect health of body & of sound disposing mind and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affais and thereby be the bette rprepared to leave this wold when it shall plase God to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. First and pricnipally, I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath as follows. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Stiers five shillings to him the said Henry Stiers or his heirs and no more of my Estate. Item. I give and bequeath unto my three eldest daughters tow it Susannah Williams, Elizabeth Fry and Rody Dored one bed and cow a piece whichthey have had in their possession except Susannah Williams she has not had her cow yet. Item I give and bequeath unto my youngest daughter, Mary Ann Stiers one cow and bed and furniture and loome and one bed and furniture extraordinary. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Frederick Stiers one hundred pounds to be paid to the said Frederick Stiers after my wife's decease. Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Margaret Barbara Stiers all the rest of my Estate Real and personally in during her natural life and at her decease to be sold and equally divided between my sons and daughters to wit Jacob Stiers, Daniel Stiers, Cornelius Stiers, William Stiers, Frederick Stiers, John Stiers, Susannah Williams, Eliazbeth Fry, Rody Dored and Mary Ann Stiers. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Frederick Stiers, executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereuto set my hand and affixed my seal the third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen.
