Will dtd. 27 Dec. 1786, weak. To wife Mary: plantation where I live until son James is 21; also my whole personal estate, she paying my daughters ?15, a cow, bed, and spinning wheel: Ann, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret, and Magdelin. To my niece Catharine Shreder: cow, bed, and ?3. After James is 21, wife to have one-third of the plantation or the income thereof with the house to be her property. To son Conrod: the 150a plantation where he lives. To two youngest sons, Henry and James: my plantation of 200a equally. And as to the title of my land now in the hands of another person (‘tho’ paid for’) and the deed soon expected, son Conrod to make a deed of convey to Conrod Jacobs for the 150a where Jacobs now lives. When sons Henry and James arrive at age, son Conrod to convey their lands as devised above.
