All Rights Reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Frederick Co MD Vol. 1 page 120 William Wallace probated 19 June 1759 In the Name of God Amen I, William Wallace of Frederick County Planter being in health of body & fo sound & disposing mind & memory I praise God for the same do this first Day of April one thousand sevend undred fifty eight make & publish this my Last Will & Testament in manner following Item first I give & bequeath, unto my son James Wallace the Plantation he himself formerly settled including one hundred ackres of Land to begin at the dividing line that divides Bernard Bruce's Land & mine to be laid out for tefts as the Land goes, on the south side of the Branch untill it includes one hundred ackres to him & his heirs forever, as also a Ring of twenty shillings value; Item I give & bequeath unto my three daughters Elizabeth Boidstone, Ann Meson & Elenor Tresay, to each of them a Ring of twenty shillings value as having already made provision for them & also my sone James Wallace, I allote no part of my estate so the before mentioned James Wallace, Elizebeth Boidstone, Ann Mason & Eleanour Trecey. Item I give & bequeth unto my daughter Sarah Thomson a mulatto boy named Gabrell until he come to the age of twenty one years, as also two thousand pounds of Tobacco orto the value of it. Item I give & bequeath to my loving wife Frances Wallace my now dwelling plantation & two hundred of land adjoining to said plantation, thats to say said two hundred ackers to include said plantation and the remainer thats wanting of the two hundred to be laid off in wood land convenient to said Plantati as also her riding horse & wearing apparell besides her dowry during her natural Life and at her decease at her discretion to be given amongst my children begotten of her as she thinks fit. Item I give and bequeth to my son Nathaniel Wallace one hundred of Land of the remaiing part of my land including all the improvements on the south side of the main road from the Fork Bridge to the Bound Tree to him and his heirs forever. Item I give & bequith to my son William the remaining hundred acres of my Land that is left of the Brokers Industry during my wife's life & after her decease to my son Nathaniel to him & his heirs forever. item I give & bequith to my son William Wallace my now dwelling Plantation with all the provements thereunto belonging after my wife's decease to him and his heirs forever but if either of my said sons Nathaniell or William should die without lawfull issue, its my desire the surviving brothe rshall possess the deceased's part to him & his heirs forever. Item I give and bequith unto my five daughters to wit Marthew, Margret, Mary, Francis & Barbara Wallace all that tract or parcell of land near the pines called Boidstones Discovery containing two hundred & thirty nine ackers more or less to be equally divided between my said five daughters to them and their heirs forever, but if eigher of them shoul die without issue of their body lawfully begotten itis my desire that her or their parts should be equally divided amongst the survivors of them to them and their hers forever. Item I make & ordain my loving wife my sole Executor of this my last will & testament. Its also my desire that my wife and each of my children shall have their part of my estate, at the appraisement that is as it is appraised. Its also that the boys in case my wife should marry shall have the produce of their labour at the age of eighteen years but if not to say with their mother until they be of the age of twenty one years. Its also my desire, that the said two boys as also those of the girls that has not had schooling, shall have schooling that is to read & write. In witness whereof I the said William Wallace have this my last will & testament set my hand & seal the day and year above written.
