The Jesse Tomlinson Cemetery is located 1/2 mile north of Stone House Inn, which is on Highway 40 near Grantsville,
Garrett County, Maryland. The survey of the cemetery was done by George C. and Margaret Tomlinson Strickland on
July 13, 1978. On the date of the survey, Eileen Dudley lived in the Stone House Inn.

In 1851, Elizabeth Magraw had a stone wall placed around the cemetery, at the entrance was a marker inscribed:

In the center of the cemetery is a large monument with "TOMLINSON" "Erected by Surviving Relatives, 1851" inscribed on it.
The top of the marker was laying on the ground near the base of the monument. Other information on the monument was:

BRUCE, Rachel                   Aug 3, 1842       Wife of George / In her 55th year / Third daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth
BRUCE, William A.               Feb 11, 1858      Eldest son of George & Rachel Bruce / In his 21st year / Buried in Dresden, OH


East Side of Monument:

SIDES, Jacob                    Aug 4, 1860       In the 49th year of his age / Buried in Bellembain, OH
SIDES, Sarah                    Jan 5, 1859       Wife of Jacob & second daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth Tomlinson / In her 51st year
SIDES, Aaron                    Apr 2, 1848       Only son of Jacob & Sarah / In his 23rd year
SIDES, Louisa                   Jun 30, 1843      Youngest daughter of Jacob & Sarah / In her 11th year


North Side of Monument:

BEALL, Isaac                    Apr 9, 1850/1860  In his 73rd year
BEALL, Rebecca                  Aug 17, 1847      Wife of Isaac & eldest daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth Tomlinson In her 61st year


Separate marker along south wall of the cemetery:

The cemetery was overgrown with shrubbery and grass. The graves we did find are listed below in alphabetical order:
