At the request of Homer D. Custer, this Deed was recorded, March 21" 1905 at 11.30 o'clock A. M. This Deed, made this 31" day of December, A. D. 1904, between James Dewitt and Louisa Dewitt, his wife, of Garrett Co., Md., of the first part, and Homer Custer, of the Garrett Co., Md., of the second part. Witnesseth, that the party of the first part, for and in consider- ation of the sum of Two hundred dollars, and other considerations, Herein after mentioned, the party of the first part, grant, bargain and sell unto the party of the second ____, his heirs and assigns. All that certain tract or piece of land, beginning at a Chestnut tree standing at the end of 122 perches on the 35" line of the "Gleanings" and running thence S. 85°E. 7 ps. To the said thirty fifth line of the "Gleanings," and with it, North 5° W. 101 ps. To the place of beginning, containing 4 acres and 67 perches being part of :Yough Manor" &c. Together with the buildings and improvements thereon, excepting And reserving all minerals thereon, also all timber. Also all that other, piece of ground called "Gleanings," whitch was conveyed by Rob't. H. Gordon, Trustee, by Deed bearing date Oct. 6" 1893, and recorded in Liber E. Z. T. No. 22, folio 339 Scr, one of the Land Records of Garrett Co., Maryland, and containing thirty acres and fifty eight perches. The said James Dewitt and Louisa Dewitt, his wife, reserves the right to live on, and have control of the above described land during their natural life.
