He died at his home in Gilmore, Md., last Thursday. Mr. Beeman has been ailing a long time, but was confined to his bed not more than a week. His wife and eight children survive him. His brothers are Jacob, of Garrett county; George, of Barton, and David, Charles and Thomas, all of Lonaconing. Mart Beeman, as he was called, was born on South Mountain, Garrett County, 71 years ago. He was a farmer in his young days and late a railroader. He served about eight months in the Union army, as a private in "C" Company, 2nd Md. Vols., and was honorably discharged at the close of the war.
